I'm sure at some point in your life, you've heard...

"Soy cause precocious puberty in children"

"Soy cause breast cancer in women"

"Soy impairs thyroid function"

"Soy Reduces Testosterone in Men"

And so on...

Am I right?

But, have you ever wondered if this really is a scientific truth or just a potential observational bias?

Regardless of yes or no, I swear I understand you, as I've heard it all, and I've wondered if it was really true!

The good news, to clarify these doubts, is that as a doctor and doctoral student, I learned to search deeply in scientific databases, looking for studies with high quality and relevance.

And as you and I imagined...SURPRISE!

The best observational studies, randomized and controlled studies, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, do not confirm these myths.

Yes, MYTHS!

Soy does not cause cancer, does not reduce testosterone, does not impair thyroid function, does not cause precocious puberty, in the light of quality science.

I have done a large and in-depth research, with more than 250 scientific studies, in established databases (PUBMED, CENTRAL, EMBASE, LILACS), and I present them to you in a summarized and easy-to-read form.

The direction of the effects of soy consumption is quite clear in the scientific literature. In the worst-case scenario, there is no benefit and no clinically significant harm. In a better scenario, soy consumption reduces the risk of some cancers by
more than 50% in addition to numerous other benefits such as metabolic improvement of several cardiovascular risk factors.

Due to the disruptive importance of this book, the language is accessible to anyone who has curiosity or desires knowledge free of unfounded opinions.

Below, an invitation to your curiosity, with several scientifically revised themes that will completely change your view on Soy!
