About the Autor
Aparecida de Jesus Ferreira holds a PhD and a post-doctorate from the University of London/England. She is a retired Associate Professor at UEPG – Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa. She taught classes in the Literature course – Undergraduate/Master's. She was a visiting professor at King's College London, UK (2018) and at the University of Bristol, UK (2020). She has experience in Applied Linguistics, with an emphasis on Teacher Training, language teaching/learning, textbook analysis, critical racial literacy intersection with race, gender and social class. She gave a TEDx UEPG talk. She has been a speaker for 30 years. Author of the books: Critical Racial Literacy Through Autobiographical Narratives, As Bonecas Negras de Lara, among others. She has won literary awards and has experience in teaching courses and mentoring.
